Charli XCX Portrays a Dark Alter Ego of Herself in Mockumentary Preview
Charli XCX is gearing up for a major film appearance in 2026, starting with the fictional documentary titled The Moment.
Throughout the movie, Charli portrays what she calls as a hell version of her public image.
It’s the most authentic portrayal of the entertainment world that I’ve ever encountered, the performer remarked.
She further explained in an interview: It’s far from a live performance documentary, yet the concept stemmed from the pressure to make one.
An Early Look into The Film
The debut trailer, launched on this week, blends real clips from her live performances with fictionalized behind-the-scenes moments.
The mockumentary is overseen and co-authored by the director, who revealed that the narrative centers on a world where the artist opted for alternate decisions in the publicity of her chart-topping release Brat.

A Busy Acting Schedule
The film is just one of many future screen roles for Charli, who already starred in three festival films this year.

Additionally, she joined to appear in the actress’s first film as director A Tree in Blue.

Musical Contributions
The month of February will also include the debut of the director’s version of Wuthering Heights, which will include original songs from the artist.
She is also set to compose the score for the drama Mother Mary, featuring Anne Hathaway and Michaela Coel, set to be released soon.
The film is set to premiere on the 30th of January.
