Helicopter Spirals Wildly into Palm Groves at Frequented Southern California Coast
A chopper soaring near a popular California coastline unexpectedly started spinning out of control, eventually descending rapidly and plunging into a line of palm fronds as beachgoers observed.
Footage uploaded online depict the aircraft commencing to spiral above the shoreline then plunging in the direction of the edge of the beach, where it gets stuck between palm trees and a set of stairs adjacent to the Pacific Coast highway.
First Aid Details
The Huntington Beach fire department stated five individuals were taken to hospital including two individuals who were in the aircraft and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” subsequent to the incident on Saturday.
Three persons on the street were harmed. Information on their wounds were still under review.
The reason for the accident was not yet disclosed.

Authorities said the aircraft was connected to an annual “Cars with Copters” charity gathering planned for the following day.
