UN Security Council Endorses Trump's Gaza Proposal
The global body has supported measures advanced by Donald Trump for securing a long-term stability in the Gaza Strip, featuring the deployment of an multinational security unit and a potential route to a Palestinian statehood.
Unanimous Support with Key Abstentions
The resolution was passed by a tally of 13-0, with China and Russia abstaining. Washington's diplomat the American delegate told the council chamber that it charted “a different path in the region for both sides and all the inhabitants of the territory alike”.
Balanced Wording on Palestinian Statehood
